VSL Corporate Positions is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Portland, OR

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions. 
What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and hiring criteria. 
  • Attract applicants by placing job postings, using social media, job sites, college job boards, etc. 
  • Engage with prospective candidates through resume databases, community outreach and other sourcing platforms.
  • Develops a network of referrals including developing relationship with professional associations to identify referrals for qualified candidates.
  • Responsible for maintaining the applicant tracking system and staying current on updates and communicating changes, as necessary to the communities.
  • Assist with training all new Hiring Managers on the applicant tracking system.
  • Screen resumes/candidates for assigned positions to ensure full compliance with position specifications and qualification requirements; make recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
  • Maintain consistent communication with all offered candidates during the selection and pre-hire process.
  • Adhere to the recruiting process to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
What you’ll bring to the table: 
  • Associate’s degree plus two (2) to three (3) years of full-cycle recruiting experience in healthcare setting. 
  • Strong understanding of applicable federal and state laws/regulations and industry standards.
  • Prior knowledge of applicant tracking software programs required.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare field, preferably Assisted Living. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand the English language and be able to communicate effectively.
  • Independent, self-starter, but also a team player. Able to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of integrity and trust and exercise sound judgment
